Bible Buddies

OK, so the pressure's on. No bailing out now that I've got folks doing it with me. Gack! So far it's myself, MertonFan, Kevin, WhatNow, Lisa, and See-ThroughFaith.

STF suggested that "We collect thoughts here once a week. You ask the questions! How does that sound?" Well, folks, how does that sound? What day would work best? Or would we rather have a separate team blog where people can throw on thoughts or questions whenever they want?

And thus we begin with the first 16 chapters of Genesis. Any thoughts as we kick this thing off?

Anyone else jumping on board? Come on, all the cool kids are doing it. We won't be your friends if you don't do it ......
Just so you all know: The Reading Plan from the biblein90days.com sidebar has a slightly different daily break-down than the Progress Tracker (which is for that specific Bible with "12 Pages a Day" and therefore has some mid-story stopping points). Doesn't seem like a huge difference, but I didn't want you all to get confused.

UPDATE: There is now a blog for these discussions at nuntimebible.blogspot.com. Come visit, sign up, have fun!

This is just great! I will enjoy following your progress here.

I had a 'cyber'group last fall of several young mothers. We set up a yahoo email group for me to check in with their reading progress and exchange comments with each other. It worked pretty well--two of the three finished!

erm I used the progress tracker - it's what I printed out to take to Tallinn

it means I'll be a bit behind I think

BTW a couple of others have expressed interest. (Beth Quick - she's a rev gal you could maybe contact her, and ukok - she just commented on my site so you can contact her via that.

the new blog is great (though cookies had me fooled for a bit)

I can check the other reading plan, I did wonder why we stopped at 15:4!

but as I said I printed that out for Tallinn (I'm away for two weeks starting a week on Sunday by which time we're well into leviticus!

this will be GREAT

Can you tell I'm excited.

I'd like to play, too!

I had started a "read the Bible in a year" plan, but it's a little scattered (Genesis one day, Job the next, Psalms the next) and I'm hoping to get a more coherent overview. :) Reading straight through sounds like it will work better!

I agree that this team blog would be easiest and most effective.

Thanks for inviting!
