Sigh .....
Apparently, my buddy Ethel met with the doctor today .... Medically, there is little that can be done for her. Her body has just been through too much. .... The doctor was clear that she can make her comfortable but not “better”.
Grrrrrrrr.
We have another sister, too, who is nearing the end (and maybe one or two more), but Ethel's the really key one for me right now.
And I only get more attached as time progresses ....
Nargh.

I'll hold Ethel and you in my prayers. Little comfort here and now, I know, but on the other side of things...
Steph, I am so sorry to hear about your sisters. (They are, you know.) Intellectually we know that soon they will be going to what they've worked toward all their lives, but for those left behind it's sad because their physical bodies won't be around anymore.

it's good you are attached. think you and Ethel need each other right now, and though it's hard it's good hard methinks.
PS Loved whta you wrote about Ethel earlier. She's one heck of a lady by the sound of it
I'll add you and the sisters in my prayers. Losing the ones we love is so hard, but like Lorna said, it's a good hard me thinks.
