Heard in My Cloister

Stealing the phrase from my good confrere Brother Allears .... this was actually heard in our Cloister Hall this morning, between Morning Prayer and Mass.

Every time you wear that dress, it makes me break a commandment.
After a moment of a quizzical wonderment, I realized she was referring to the "Thou Shalt Not Covet Thy Neighbor's Dress" one.

lol :D Reminds me of the phrase I overheard a priest utter last week: "When I die, I want a drag queen to do my makeup." Unfortunately, there was no simple explanation.

LOL! Why was the first commandment that came to my mind, "Thou shall not commit adultery?"

Eek! This celibacy thing may be harder than I'm bargaining for! ;)

Natty, that one crossed my mind as a possibility, but I know the some of the women at Ferdinand, and they always dress modestly and simply, so I knew that #6 could not have been the commandment she had in mind.

Steph, got to admit I'm with Natty and Dennis: I, too, was thinking you meant adultery. I have seen some sisters in dresses that forced me to avail myself of the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Woe is me ~~ the perils of celibacy! :-P
