Our monastery has reflections by sisters for every day of Advent this year. Mine was today's ... begun at 9:45 last night; finished and posted at 10:30. Way to wait till the last minute. But, for what it's worth, here it is. Who's your daddy? :-)

I read that Gospel this morning and didn't get much out of it. Except, to be honest, I wasn't quite so mad at myself for sleeping through morning mass. I mean, it's a LONG reading!!!
But your reflection shed some much needed light upon it.

point of clarificiation.
I didn't fall asleep AT mass.
I was asleep and didn't get out of bed to drive to church and GO to daily mass.
